Mobile Residential Support
Mobile Residential Support is a program that is funded by Nassau County that provides enhanced services to clients residing in Supported Housing to assist them in living independently in their community and to remain out of the hospital. The team consists of six (6) staff and is overseen by SAIL's Supported Housing Program Director, Gary Conn, LMSW, and is led by the MRS Team Leader, Amanda Kerner, MHC, MSEd., NCC.
The multi-disciplinary team utilizes an eclectic approach and offers services in a number of areas including but not limited to: Medication Management, Supportive Counseling & Crisis Intervention, Relapse Prevention, Health and Wellness Coordination, Peer Recovery Coaching & Support, and Resource Linkage. Services are provided during non traditional hours in which clients do not receive services from their housing staff, such as evenings and weekends.
Services are provided within the client's natural living environment and community, to better suit the needs of the clients and provide the services in the most flexible and convenient way.
For more information about the program, please contact Amanda Kerner, MHC, MSEd., NCC., at (516) 477-6511.
