the Path to
Recovery
Dawn Knapper, Director of Program Operations – CR, leads a staff of approximately 35, composed of full time, part-time, and per-diem counselors who staff these residences. The Congregate Treatment Programs provide support and services, 24 hours, 7 day a week in a “group home” setting
Currently, SAIL owns and operates 4 of these facilities in Nassau County. These residences are single-site facilities with private or shared bedrooms. Meals are provided, as well as on-site rehabilitative services are provided. The Rockville Centre Residence is specialized in that it is for Young Adults (ages 18 – 25). Three of the residences have ten (10) consumers and one (Island Park) has eleven (11).
This level of housing is appropriate for individuals who need rehabilitative services in a non-hospital setting prior to placement in more permanent community-based housing such as Apartment Treatment or Supported Housing Programs.
